libevdev 1.0 is available in Debian so a simple sync would be enough to get it into 14.04. I'd appreciate it if I could be kept in the loop on any maintenance work done by a Ubuntu team! (I'm the package maintainer in Debian. If useful I wouldn't mind doing the work necessary to become a PPU or
