excuse me, but how hard is it to change this? The arguments given are
all obviously false.
First, I was told that the icon has been this way for a LOO
time. Well, the answer to exactly how long is still outstanding. It's
not been longer than the last LTS as far as I can see. Then,
By the way, the reason that maybe upstream is using the icon
successfully without user confusion might be (speculating here) that
they usually do not use it as part of a fixed point on the screen. It
would be much less confusing for example if this was only visible when
you alt-tab etc. Unless
Humanity is not under active development.
We are not going to make any changes with Humanity, unless something major is
broken.
So if you dont like the icon, you can just remove these 5 symlinks. That
should resolve your issue.
/usr/share/icons/Humanity/apps/../epiphany.svg

That's the icon from Gnome's Epiphany (now Web). Upstream's design also
has an inverted cursor that is an obvious part of the image. It's been
like that for a looong time with no reported user confusion.
** Package changed: unity (Ubuntu) = humanity-icon-theme (Ubuntu)
** Changed in:
Hm, how long exactly? I'm coming from an LTS and this is the first time
for me to see it. What file is it exactly, if Ubuntu wants to stick
with it, I'd certainly like to replace it.h
** Changed in: humanity-icon-theme (Ubuntu)
