Public bug reported:

In Ubuntu 9.10 NBR, Xubuntu 11.04, and Xubuntu 12.10 hibernation worked.
Now it doesn't.

Swap is activated and works and it is big enough:

$ swapon -s
Filename                                Type            Size    Used    Priority
/dev/sda8                               partition       1228796 0       -1

$ head -2 /proc/meminfo
MemTotal:        1017544 kB
MemFree:          295872 k

After installation, I modified /etc/fstab to enable swap:

UUID=9c0dbd2a-b194-4afe-989b-e2bba6dbb867       none            swap    sw
        0       0
#/dev/mapper/cryptswap1 none swap sw 0 0
#/dev/mapper/cryptswap2 none swap sw 0 0

I commented in the first of these lines and commented out the last two
of these lines.

Problem also occurs with 3.14-RC8.
