Public bug reported: Binary package hint: mc
I've just installed the latest update to midnight commander and it's completely broken. When I call it from the command line absolutely nothing happens until I hit control-c; htop shows nothing, there is no disk activity and ps doesn't show anything when I run it a couple of seconds later. I know this is not completely on-topic, but this is the third time in the last few weeks that major breakages have been distributed from the ubuntu repositories: First there was the disappearance of the flash player binary. Then there was the dependency error that would have caused firefox to be uninstalled if I wasn't in the habit of vetting my package updates. And now this: a program I depend on and use all the time has completely stopped working. In other words there is a meta-bug at work here, and one that desperately needs to be sorted out if ubuntu bug #1 is to be fixed. ** Affects: mc (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- new version of midnight commander is completely broken https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/130318 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
