Public bug reported: Binary package hint: picprog
Hi. Trying to write a program in a pic12f629 results in the following: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:/tmp$ picprog -i test.hex -p /dev/ttyS0 --erase --burn Picprog version 1.8.3, Copyright © 2006 Jaakko Hyvätti <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Picprog comes with ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY; for details type `picprog --warranty'. This is free software, and you are welcome to redistribute it under certain conditions; type `picprog --copying' for details. /dev/ttyS0: id 0x0f90: detected pic12f629 version 0x10 Device pic12f629, program memory: 1024, data memory: 128. Calibration word at 0x03ff preserved as 0x3454 Calibration bits 0x3000 in configuration word preserved as 0x3000 Erased and removed code protection. Burning program memory,/dev/ttyS0:0000: programmed=2829, read=3fff:unable to verify pic while programming. Is code protection enabled, or does the chip need to be erased completely before programming? Use --erase option to disable code protection. As I've used the "--erase" option, I can't figure out where's the problem. The device is detected correctly Tried "icprog" with wine and the PIC gets programmed and verified ok, so it's not a faulty programmer or chip. I'd really love to use picprog instead of icprog through wine, so I can make any tests you suggest. Thanks in advance. ** Affects: picprog (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Verify pic12f629 using TE-20X https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/131262 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
