I suspect this was fixed in Gutsy so since it's been 1 month with no
reply, I'm going to go ahead and close it. Please reopen if it's still
happening.

I committed several quirks for samsung in the past few weeks, although I
don't know if this one got covered. Can you check and test if Gutsy-
final works properly for you now?

The server for gutsy might be yet-to-be-released 1.4, which includes
this fix. Hopefully a prerelease version can be uploaded soon.
