This bug is also affecting me. After opening the Amazon app the whole
operating system freezes. Only holding down the power button and
rebooting fixes this issue so far.

I had the same problem. Things worked fine after I installed alternate
proprietory driver (tested) for NVidia driver card instead of opensource
nouveu driver.

PC hangs when i start the app before the initial webpage has been
loaded. After some time the two of the three lock LEDs start flashing.
Could no longer ssh to the PC and had to do a hard reset by holding down
the power button.
