Public bug reported:

On a dual monitor setup, by default, the mouse pointer is "blocked" when
trying to go to the other screen. This is a very annoying bug since the
user shouldn't be restricted to switch screens with his mouse pointer.

The fix for that is downloading compizconfig-settings-manager and
setting the "Edge Stop Velocity" to 1. This is way beyond a newbie would
actually know, so I request that this option come by default.
