The problem was that I chose the 'Gutenprint' type of connection instead
of the 'Printer on LPT#1' connection type.
I have it working now.

I did a 'sudo bash' and went into /var/spool/cups
Inside were a few files:
a--
c--
c--
c--
c--
(I forget how the filenames ended so I just added '--' on the end of
them. In fact the names themselves are just an approximation.)
I took the c-- files as the job files since
