If you really want to have a backport, you should follow the guide at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuBackports to get a backport into precise-
backports (which is not enabled by default).

And backporting version 8.1.0-2 from trusty is also not possible?
What do you mean with different opengl profiles ?
In my recompiled glxinfo (from trusty) OpenGL 3.0 and 3.3 is shown;
OpenGL vendor string: X.Org
Not going to be fixed. OpenGL 3.3 is supported on precise, but updating
mesa-utils is not going to happen, it's because this glxinfo doesn't
support the different opengl profiles from 3.3, so 3.0 is correctly
reported.
