Public bug reported: The cyrus-admin-2.4 package only contains the cyradm, sieveshell, and installsieve scripts, and their associated documentation. These utilities are for remote administration/interaction with a Cyrus IMAP or Sieve server, and really only need to depend on libcyrus-imap-perl24. cyrus-common includes only things needed for running a Cyrus server.
By depending on cyrus-common, installing cyrus-admin gets you IMAP and Sieve spool directories, Cyrus imapd startup scripts, logcheck stubs, etc. It also causes the wholly-inappropriate high-priority cyrus- common/removespools template question to be asked. ** Affects: cyrus-imapd-2.4 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1329479 Title: cyrus-admin-2.4 doesn't need to depend on cyrus-common To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cyrus-imapd-2.4/+bug/1329479/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
