This is fixed in version 2.1.0~0.svn3260, which I just requested to be
synced into Hardy.

Hi,
I also have this problem. I am using Ubuntu 7.10 and have Warzone2100, and have
the repositories version installed.
I never had this problem with version 2.0.7.
This is the terminal output,
$ warzone2100
warzone2100: No such file or directory.

I to have the same issue , it was not an issue with the older version running
on 7.04 however I have the dump file to try and help. I have tried creating a
directory called warzone2100 in my home directory and even doing a 'touch
warzone2100' to no avail .. it seems to only be on loading
Same issues, Some more info and dump file in case it helps... Would love
to see this get fixed, got hooked on the game, but dont want to keep
starting from the begining every time.

OK, there was a similiar error with Warzone SVN, but it disappeared when
sound was disabled. (SVN was fixed last time I used it).

I have this same problem. I tried it with and without sound with the
same result. Also, windowed vs non windowed, and debug enabled vs
nondebug enabled all give the same result. The problem appears to be
with loading savegames after upgrading to gusty.

I have 2.1.0~svn1436-1 (Gusty) version installed from the Universe repo.
I'm running 7.10 x64.
I use "warzone2100 --resolution 1024x768" from a launch bar shortcut to start
the game.
due to auto size full screen to windowed small screen bug
Same thing today, save a game, quit, start up the game,
SVN revision 2508 seems to work, with minor clipping issues. Build from
.tar.gz package of 2.0.7 works after disabling sound.
I have *NOT* finished the game, just started it and played for a moment.
