Public bug reported: Steps to reproduce: 1) Download this PDF: https://secure.ikea.com/ms/nl_NL/TnC/IKEA-webwinkel-voorwaarden.pdf 2) Open it in evince.
If you try the same in acrobat reader (I only tried it on windows), it opens just fine. So either this file isn't encrypted at all but evince merely says it is, or, for reasons beyond my comprehension, the file is encrypted, but the password is somehow embedded in the document itself. Either way, the end result is a broken user experience for ubuntuers. ** Affects: evince (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1352963 Title: Evince incorrectly reports password-protected pdf To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evince/+bug/1352963/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
