Same problem here. Can't type into Nautilus when SCIM is installed.
Can't rename files/directories in Nautilus. I am running Gusty with all
the updates applied.

I have found similar bugs.
When I change the directory name and type any English character with 'shift
key' on nautilus, SCIM didn't work anymore.

key' on nautilus, SCIM didn't work on Nautilus anymore.
It still works on the other applications.

Check. Without SCIM running, the behavior is normal.

Click to focus, or whatever the default in Ubuntu is. No desktop
effects or any 3D, actually (using an inegrated SIS chipset). And yes,
it still occurs every time. I can't rename anything. I just managed to
pull up the file URL box using "/" though. When I start to type, my

What sort of mouse focus do you use? Did you activate the desktop
effects or something similar? Does it happen every time you do those
actions?
