Verified on trusty. Note that while the apparmor policy allows the
required capabilities, qemu must still run as root to have the
capabilities in the first place (unless the shared 9pfs on the host is
owned by the libvirt user). This was done by editing
/etc/libvirt/qemu.conf to read user=root.
Verified on utopic as well.

Title:
14.04: libvirt-qemu/apparmor: missing
** Description changed:
Impact: sharing with a guest via 9p does not work
Regression potential: this debdiff only adds apparmor permissions which are
already being granted in vivid, so no regressions should be possible.

Hello sgofferj, or anyone else affected,
Accepted libvirt into trusty-proposed. The package will build now and be
available at
http://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libvirt/1.2.2-0ubuntu13.1.8 in a few
hours, and then in the -proposed repository.
Please help us by testing this new package. See
@sgofferj
could you provide a .xml file for use in the test case in the
description?

Unfortunately, I don't have any free machine to install 15.04 on for testing.
Will this fix be available in 14.04 LTS server?

I've posted a package (1.2.8-0ubuntu12~ppa1) with a potential fix to ppa
:serge-hallyn/virt. Is it possible for you to test whether that fixes
your problem? If it does I'll push it to the archive.

Actually I've gone ahead and pushed it to vivid, so please test there
rather than the ppa.

That is no kernel bug. It's a bug in libvirt-aa-helper.

Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer
to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following
