Just to update - the problem has resurfaced today ** Description changed: Since upgrade yesterday on 14.10 - touchpad on my Lenovo X1 Carbon is corrupted. After a reboot, it works for about 30 seconds then degrades rapidly, where cursor jumps around screen and does not follow touchpad

Thanks for looking in to this - please note however that about 3 weeks ago I noticed that the touchpad had got a lot better (I'd been using a mouse since the issue). checking again today - it seems to be fine, so not sure if a kernel update or other has fixed the issue. Have a great Christmas!
