Public bug reported: Binary package hint: klaptopdaemon
I have a new laptop with Intel Dual-Core processors (specifically, this laptop: http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/spec/spec_ms1719.asp). I am running the Kubuntu Gutsy alpha on it (Tribe 5). I cannot get the Power Manager utility to accurately report on the status of the battery -- it keeps switching from reporting that the battery is there and fully charged, to reporting that the laptop is unplugged and running on battery power alone (when it is in fact plugged in), to reporting that the laptop battery isn't there at all. The laptop battery works fine -- during one of the instances when Power Manager reported that the battery was not present I unplugged the laptop and it continued to run. Further, the LED on my laptop that reports on the status of the battery correctly reported when it was running low and when it was recharging (even when Power Manager did not). I have tried running other battery monitoring programs (like kpowersave) and I have run into a similar problem. ** Affects: kdeutils (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Power Manager will not report accurate status of battery https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/138641 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Team, which is a bug contact for kdeutils in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
