the problem is not whisker menu. it is the Xfce panel.
Try this as a temp work around : xfce4-panel -r

For the sake of completeness: I've come across another mention of the bug [1]
suggesting that the problem occurs with the whisker menu version in Manjaro's
testing repo, but not the one in the stable repo which might be a slightly
older version.
