Public bug reported: Binary package hint: beagle
The KMail backend in beagle is nice, but could be better. Here are two use cases: 1. I have a lot of archived emails in Maildir folders somewhere in my home directory. The KMail backend looks in 3-4 specific locations for Maildir folders. Given that all the infrastructure is already there, I'd like to have the ability to index Maildir folders that live outside of KMail's directory structure 2. I often run an IMAP server on my local machine to ease access in a consistent manner across mail clients (for instance, Thunderbird doesn't have Maildir support). Most IMAP servers (I've tried dovecot and bincimap) that support Maildir stick the mails in ~/Maildir. I don't see how this is any different than indexing mails under ~/Mail (for KMail). Currently beagle just indexes these mails as regular text files. ** Affects: beagle (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Index all Maildir folders https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/139547 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
