Public bug reported:

Description: Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS
Release: 14.04

Using openjdk-7-jre-headless version 7u71-2.5.3-0ubuntu0.14.04.1:

Dynamically resizing a jpeg image with color profile: sRGB IEC61966-2.1
using a bi-linear filter applied results in a resized "red" tinged image
after saving to a jpeg.

I found the following bug report against openjdk8:
S8052162: REGRESSION: sun/java2d/cmm/ColorConvertOp tests fail since 7u71 b01

So, I tried downgrading to:

7u51-2.4.6-1ubuntu4

then restarted Tomcat7 and all the dynamically resized images are now
the correct color.

See attached images for original image sample, a resized 'red' version from
7u71 and a correctly resized version from 7u51.
