Public bug reported: Description: Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS Release: 14.04
Using openjdk-7-jre-headless version 7u71-2.5.3-0ubuntu0.14.04.1: Dynamically resizing a jpeg image with color profile: sRGB IEC61966-2.1 using a bi-linear filter applied results in a resized "red" tinged image after saving to a jpeg. I found the following bug report against openjdk8: S8052162: REGRESSION: sun/java2d/cmm/ColorConvertOp tests fail since 7u71 b01 So, I tried downgrading to: 7u51-2.4.6-1ubuntu4 then restarted Tomcat7 and all the dynamically resized images are now the correct color. See attached images for original image sample, a resized 'red' version from 7u71 and a correctly resized version from 7u51. ** Affects: openjdk-7 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: "images displaying incorrect color" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1408735/+attachment/4294113/+files/images.zip ** Summary changed: - Apply S8052162: REGRESSION: sun/java2d/cmm/ColorConvertOp tests fail since 7u71 b01 + Resizing and saving jpeg with color profile sRGB IEC61966-2.1 results in incorrect colors -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1408735 Title: Resizing and saving jpeg with color profile sRGB IEC61966-2.1 results in incorrect colors To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openjdk-7/+bug/1408735/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
