Please make a test. Don't perform any manual update and wait if icon
appears. It's possible that's a matter of time. Feel free to report if

Ok. Automatic icon doesn't appear immediately after boot: it may take some
minutes depending by availability and speed of your connection. Please try if
waiting some time your problem is fixed. In any case, check if adept_notifier
is an active process in Ksysguard.

Please note that automatic update check is performed only daily. So if
you boot your system more than once in the same day, automatic check
won't be performed but you can find available updates with manual check.

If is a new updates for kubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy Gibbon) dont show the icon

Really strange. I have Gutsy full updated and this problem is not
present. Please give 'apt-get update' and 'apt-get upgrade'. Has
notifier worked in the past? Please check settings in Adept Manager,
Manage Repositories, Updates. Thanks.

task bar for some dont show. i dont know the reason for this. My be
