Public bug reported:

I have no window manager anymore; apps can be started and closed from
their own menu but cannot be resized, moved or draw pointer focus. No
apps appear on the KDE task manager widget in the panel.

When I go into System Settings and choose "Window Management", there is
a message that

"the shared library is missing

Possible causes:

- An error occurred during your last KDE upgrade leaving an orphaned control 
module
- You have old third party modules lying around"

The system, running vivid, is fully current in updates as of January 30,
1700 UTC

This is a new occurence that did not happen before Jan 28
