Public bug reported: gscan2pdf is set to "scanimage" as fontend.
As soon as I set "Scan Document" --> "Scan Options" --> Paper Size" from "Manual" to "A4", gscan2pdf crashes. I attached the debug information (gscan2pdf --debug >> gscan2pdf.log 2>&1). The last few lines are: DEBUG - Finished setting available_scan_options from undef to Gscan2pdf::Scanner::Options=HASH(0x68eecf0) INFO - Waiting to reap process INFO - Reaped PID 19444 *** unhandled exception in callback: *** Modification of a read-only value attempted at /usr/share/perl5/Gscan2pdf/Dialog/Scan/CLI.pm line 630. *** ignoring at /usr/bin/gscan2pdf line 6736. ** GLib-GObject:ERROR:/build/buildd/glib2.0-2.42.1/./gobject/gsignal.c:756:emission_pop: code should not be reached Running sane_init Scanimage works fine in terminal with an HP Officejet 4500: scanimage -p -l 0 -t 0 -x 210 -y 296 -d hpaio:/net/Officejet_4500_G510g-m?zc=HPF907A0 --mode gray --resolution=200 --batch=tmp%d.pnm --source ADF ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 14.10 Package: gscan2pdf 1.2.5-1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.13.0-35.62-generic 3.13.11.6 Uname: Linux 3.13.0-35-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.14.7-0ubuntu8.2 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: XFCE Date: Mon Feb 23 12:59:19 2015 InstallationDate: Installed on 2012-09-29 (877 days ago) InstallationMedia: Xubuntu 12.04.1 LTS "Precise Pangolin" - Release amd64 (20120817.3) PackageArchitecture: all SourcePackage: gscan2pdf UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to utopic on 2015-02-22 (0 days ago) ** Affects: gscan2pdf (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug third-party-packages utopic ** Attachment added: "Debug information from gscan2pdf" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1424617/+attachment/4325428/+files/gscan2pdf.log -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1424617 Title: gscan2pdf and scanimage crashes with A4 paper To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gscan2pdf/+bug/1424617/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
