It looks like patches 1/7, 2/7 and 3/7 will be cc'd to stable, so Ubuntu
will receive those patches through the normal stable update process:

If they are needed, we should be able to cherry-pick the other commits,
once they land in mainline.

Ah, thanks for the clarification about the stable update process.
I only tried the full patchset (including the 8th) and rebuilt the
kernel by myself -- which was working fine.
