I have seen this white screen behavior in two flavors:
1. Suddenly the page being browsed becomes white, but you still have access to
the navigation bar and tab interface, so you can reload or simply continue
browsing other pages.
2. Suddenly the web browser goes white and
I have the exactly same behaviour, every day, with my BQ E5 ubuntu phone
:(.

browser crashes on image-heavy pages

I'm seeing this issue several times a day too. I'm not sure if images
alone are the problem. I get varied results depending how I use the tab
I'm in but it seems that the more pages I navigate to with the same tab,
the closer I get encountering the issue.
For example, go to www.newstalk.com and
Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.
