I'm reopening this as I still see this problem on 9.04 and a laptop with

My bug report (#157996) was assigned as duplicate of this bug, but I don't see
the same message (Bad battery).
In fact I don't see any message.

Before the final release of gutsy, it wouldn't crash immediately. It
would warn me that my battery was old and had something like 18%
capacity. Then it would crash a few minutes later.
