Thanks for reporting this bug. I tried to reproduce this with a 14.04-14.10 upgrade, but the upgrade succeeded. Interestingly, the terminal log shows; insserv: Service mountkernfs has to be enabled to start service cgmanager This suggests that you are running sysvinit rather than upstart? Is
