I found solution of this problem in openSUSE 10.3 and Kubuntu 7.10.
Problems caused by Marvell's drivers for IDE controller. in Last versions of
openSUSE and Kubuntu it's soluted.

I can confirm this problem.
When trying to install alternative or live cd, the cd rom is not found.
IDE or USB. I have tried Ubuntu 7.04 , 7.10 and Fedora 8 DVD.
I have tried netinstall for 7.04 and 7.10 but the NIC on motherboard
does not work, any other PCI NICs do not get IP address connected
