Did you run 'sudo dpkg --configure -a' in a terminal window? Did it fix
the problem?

hi, thanks i did run sudo dpkg --configure -a' in a terminal window, after a
friend helped; the error box didnt mention sudo...thats why i had
problems. But it is all fixed now, thanks.
