Public bug reported: When certain applications are open (e.g. terminal sessions running sudo), KDE refuses to immediately log out of the session and asks a question whether one really wants to log out notwithstanding the running application.
So far so good: the dialog reporting the running applications is shown correctly. However, if one answers that he/she positively wants to log out regardless of the running applications then everything breaks. KDE closes plasma and kwin, but applications remain running and one never goes back to the login manager. To reproduce: 1) Start KDE 2) Open a Konsole 3) Launch sudo su in the konsole 4) Try to log out KDE ** Affects: kubuntu-meta (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Summary changed: - REGRESSION: cannot log out of KDE session + REGRESSION: cannot log out of KDE session in PLASMA 5 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to kubuntu-meta in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1482861 Title: REGRESSION: cannot log out of KDE session in PLASMA 5 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kubuntu-meta/+bug/1482861/+subscriptions -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
