To fix this is much easier than it at first appears, first a warning!

I think Sebastian meant that you should add your '/etc/X11/xorg.conf'
file to your bug report after configuring your screens with
displayconfig-gtk.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. How exactly did display-config-gtk not work for you?
What steps could we take to reproduce this issue using an install of
Ubuntu? (Not using Envy or the nvidia drivers from nvidia's site.)
