Public bug reported: Binary package hint: grub-installer
I just installed Gusty on a system with two ide drives and two scsi drives. Grub installed the boot loader correctly, but the default device it picked was hd(2,0) which doesn't contain a linux install. Manually editing the command at boot and changing it to hd(0,0) fixes the problem. ** Affects: grub-installer (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- grub picks incorrect default root device https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/148693 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
