Public bug reported: I am using stock Kubuntu 15.04. I am new to KDE and have migrated from gnome and unity. Whenever i lock my screen in KDE, it takes about 10 minutes for the screen to blank out and display to go into powersaving mode. in gnome and other gnome based distros, when i lock the screen, it stays on for 3 seconds and fades out to put my monitor into standby whereas in kde, the lockscreen shows up for a very long time. Why is that? No one has any job staring at the lock screen. I wish the screen timeout was 3 seconds or some reasonable time during the lockscreen
