Public bug reported: I get no sound whatsoever in Gutsy, whatever I do. I tried installing ALSA 1.0.15rc2, I tried compiling a custom kernel, in which the snd_hda_intel driver was compiled right INTO the kernel, all to no effect; according to mplayer, amarok and alsamixer I do have working sound, but I get sound from neither my integrated speakers nor my line-out.
My laptop is a Zepto Znote 6625WD with an Intel 965PM + ICH8-M chipset (NB and SB resp.), the souncard itself is a RealTek ALC268 according to http://www.zepto.dk/Files/15_6625WD_datasheet_1.0_ENG.pdf If any additional info is needed please post a request here and I will post the info (I don't exactly know what's relevant here...)
