Since I wiped my keyrings, it works quite well. I discovered the
following behaviour:
* Wenn the VPN connection works, no dialog is shown.
* Wenn connecting fails, an error dialog is displayed.
* The next time, the password/group password dialog is shown, but with the
passwords already filled in.
This was working in Feisty and is no longer working in Gutsy.

Another way how this can be temporally fixed is by using Seahorse
(Passwords and Encryption Keys). There you will find your passwords
under the tab "passwords". After deleting them, network-manager could
remember my password again. At least this is what happened to me. So the
problem seems to be r
I have "fixed" this by wiping out my whole gnome-keyrings ( rm
~/.gnome2/keyrings/*.keyring ). This removes ALL saved passwords!

Same here on gutsy, though I checked "Save password in keyring", I am
asked for group and user password everytime.
It would be a good idea (also for LP #91964), if it would add a third
checkbox "ask for user/group password every time", but if one also
checks "save password...", they would already
