Well, zypres, at least your comment made me find a work around that works for me: It's sufficient to open the web shortcuts preferences panel of Konqueror, and select something different from strigi as the default shortcut. I've put google there, as I think it is the KDE default. Another option

I have the same problem. This is really annoying. It might only affect those with strigi turned off(?), and they really do not want this. It should be possible to turn of strigi forever. also all protocolls and links, like in the k-menu. I know it is possible to change the default search mode,
