This is still a problem in 8.10. It seems to be a Document Viewer or
gnome problem, as in Hardy I was able to use Kpdf with good results, but
not Document viewer. Now Ocular (I think this replaces KPDF)

Does this also happen if you try to print multiple copies of a one page
document in other programs besides evince, i.e. Gedit or OpenOffice?
