Great, I can't even burn CD to reinstall Ubuntu. Whatever happened, it
really screwed whole system.

Fixed!
It wasn't so tragic as it seemed. I found one other linux cd, boot from
it and checked /etc files. I found that I was somehow kicked out from
every group in /etc/group file. After adding myself back and reboot,
things went back to normal.

And finaly, what caused the mess: usermod
I added myself to group lp with command usermod -G lp username and
insted of -G I should have used -a (append), silly me.
This one should be closed or even deleted, since it wasn't a bug but
PEBKAC (Problem Exists Between Keyboard And Chair) :-)
