I have the same issue with the new driver installed. I have a GeForce
FX5200 128M Video Ram. It only happens when I have several Windows
open. When I start to get the black windows, hitting Ctrl+Alt+1 to go
to a terminal and then back to the GUI gets rid of them for a while.

Looks like the problem only appears when you have more than one window
maximized.

What do you mean with turn black?, it's goes from colour to monochromatic?, for
plain black, could you attach a screenshot to have a clearest idea of what you
are trying to say.
