Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: usplash

The usplash graphical boot seems to work but when the bar reaches the
halfway mark it goes somewhat haywire, the animations are drawn on
random locations of the screen rather than on the progress bar and some
corrupt artifacts appear. It seems worse under Gutsy but its kind of
random and i haven't booted that many times yet and it did occur under
Feisty.

The usplash.conf file doesn't have any resolution in it, its possible
this is because my monitor is 1920x1200 native which isn't a valid VESA
mode, maybe the lack of a specified resolution is causing it and a
failsafe resolution is needed.
