Public bug reported: This system was running a small tmpfs /tmp filesystem of 64M.
do-release-upgrade fails part way through, leaving system in partially upgraded state. lsb_release -a report wily + no package upgrades occurred include kernel still at Vivid's level. Reboot + apt-get update + apt-get upgrade + update-grub2 seems to fix problem. Likely best to put some sort of check into upgrade process to ensure some amount of /tmp being free. ** Affects: ubuntu-release-upgrader (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1527346 Title: Vivid to Wily upgrade fails if /tmp to small To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-release-upgrader/+bug/1527346/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
