Public bug reported: My system started crashing at regular intervals (10 minutes to one hour) since this afternoon;
I'm not aware of running any updates, but I might have done an "aptitude safe-upgrade" anywhere in the past week. I'm fully up to date on Ubuntu 14.04.3 now. The problems seem to exclusively occur when running Chrome (47) / Chromium (45) (I switched to that browser when the problem occurred a few times, but this didn't solve it), but this may also simply be a consequence of my browser being the most Graphics-heavy part of the system. I'm running on a MacbookPro, inside Parallels; this was not a problem until this afternoon. /var/log/Xorg.0.log looks like this: [ 6197.350] (EE) Backtrace: [ 6197.351] (EE) 0: /usr/bin/X (xorg_backtrace+0x48) [0x7f25c67f0848] [ 6197.351] (EE) 1: /usr/bin/X (0x7f25c6647000+0x1ad539) [0x7f25c67f4539] [ 6197.351] (EE) 2: /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libpthread.so.0 (0x7f25c5743000+0x10340) [0x7f25c5753340] [ 6197.351] (EE) 3: /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/prlvideo_drv.so (PrlCtlUpdateGLXCliping+0x429) [0x7f25c0dde019] [ 6197.351] (EE) 4: /usr/bin/X (FindClientResourcesByType+0x98) [0x7f25c66c0118] [ 6197.351] (EE) 5: /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/prlvideo_drv.so (PrlCtlUpdateGLXClipingAll+0x50) [0x7f25c0ddb7b0] [ 6197.351] (EE) 6: /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/prlvideo_drv.so (PrlCtlSetFullscreenGLXDrawable+0xa8) [0x7f25c0ddc1a8] [ 6197.351] (EE) 7: /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/prlvideo_drv.so (PrlCtlDetectFullscreenGLXDrawable+0xc3) [0x7f25c0ddd963] [ 6197.351] (EE) 8: /usr/bin/X (FindClientResourcesByType+0x98) [0x7f25c66c0118] [ 6197.351] (EE) 9: /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/prlvideo_drv.so (PrlCtlDetectFullscreenGL+0x4c) [0x7f25c0ddb74c] [ 6197.351] (EE) 10: /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/prlvideo_drv.so (PrlCtlRefreshDrawable+0x8c) [0x7f25c0ddec3c] [ 6197.351] (EE) 11: /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/prlvideo_drv.so (0x7f25c0dc5000+0x10bad) [0x7f25c0dd5bad] [ 6197.351] (EE) 12: /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/prlvideo_drv.so (0x7f25c0dc5000+0x14f19) [0x7f25c0dd9f19] [ 6197.351] (EE) 13: /usr/bin/X (0x7f25c6647000+0x55f0e) [0x7f25c669cf0e] [ 6197.351] (EE) 14: /usr/bin/X (0x7f25c6647000+0x59d9a) [0x7f25c66a0d9a] [ 6197.351] (EE) 15: /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6 (__libc_start_main+0xf5) [0x7f25c4183ec5] [ 6197.351] (EE) 16: /usr/bin/X (0x7f25c6647000+0x451ee) [0x7f25c668c1ee] [ 6197.351] (EE) [ 6197.351] (EE) Segmentation fault at address 0x2d0 [ 6197.351] (EE) Fatal server error: [ 6197.351] (EE) Caught signal 11 (Segmentation fault).
