Thanks for the information - but now the system is running perfectly,
but I had to install it from a CD and not from a DVD. The same thing
happened to a friend of mine too. Just to let you know.
It seems to be not a problem of the hardware, because on the same
machine is also running a Windows
It appears that your sata disk controller is broken and will need
replaced.
