I seem to be affected by the same bug, here are the latest syslog
entries before the new boot. I'd be glad to use ubuntu-bug, but it only
reports current dmesg, which have nothing related to the previous boot.

Thank You Christopher and sorry i just noticed your reply. I upgraded
the kernel to 4.6.2-040602-generic and my Nvidia card Geforce GT 740M
drivers to 375.20 version and that seems to have fixed the issue for me
now.

I'm experiencing the exact same thing, running xubuntu 16.04 with kernel
4.6.0-994-generic on a thinkpad x1 carbon 4th gen.

I have the same problem, while suspend works with kernel 4.4.0-10 it
stopped working with kernel 4.4.0-12 (don't know about *-11).
Below are the last log messages before machine suspended:
