Public bug reported:

I have a upgraded my Kubuntu Feisty into Gutsy.
My laptop is a Dell latitude D610 with Intel(R) Pentium(R) M processor 2.00GHz
and with ATA FUJITSU MHV2080A as hard drive

I used to have a noisy hard disk on Feisty and so I put:
 pci=bios idle=halt acpi_sleep=s3_bios
in my /boot/grub/menu.lst
The noise disappeared with this modification.

However, when I upgraded to Gutsy, the noise appeared again, even with
the standard modification of menu.lst.

** Affects: linux-source-2.6.22 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
