Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: update-manager

While upgrading from 7.04 to 7.10, I got the "Could not calculate the
upgrade" message box. I'm not clear what to do. The last line of my
/var/log/dist-upgrade/main.log is:

2007-10-23 21:00:58,391 ERROR Dist-upgrade failed: 'E:Error,
pkgProblemResolver::Resolve generated break\
s, this may be caused by held packages.'

Trying to figure out what is 'held':

$ sudo apt-get upgrade
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
The following packages have been kept back:
  nfs-common
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 1 not upgraded.

** Affects: update-manager (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
