while installing the packages needed for providing a backtrace i had to enable
the prereleased updates option, because i had to update adept-manager (and
other parts of adept as well) to version 2.1.2ubuntu26.2 from 2.1.2ubuntu26.1
as a result of the update the bug stopped appearing.
so i'm unab

in order to get the crash using the DEB provided in earlier post:
1. install the deb using dpkg -i
2. start adept-manager
3. in the search box of adept manaer type mac-3
it will show in the list only the software that we are about to remove.
4. rightclick on it and select request removal
5. click A
this is the original source.
the package is generated by running "sudo checkinstall" in the software
folder

reproduce:
it seems that the crash happens when installing packages generated by
checkinstall (sample package attached)
and installed using dpkg -i
removal of the package using dpkg -r works.
