The issue is still there in 18.04.
Refer to plugin window for totem in attachment. I think there is some
customization done specific to rhythmbox for the working mentioned in
the above comment.

This is an issue with the Peas gtk plugin manager.

Nothing to do with rhythmbox. Other apps like totem, gedit ( Preferences
-> Plugins ) should also have the same issue in your system.

This issue is specific to ubuntu ( gtk css customization ), and it seems
to have been fixed in subsequent releases. Check attachment for plugin
in 18.04 preview release, where this issue is not seen.
