Public bug reported: According to keepass.info, version 2.32 of KeePass came out on March 9. But here we are more than a month later and the version in the Ubuntu repos for Wily is still version 2.29. (There's a newer version available for Xenial, 2.31, but that's out of date too.)
It looks like Debian stable is even farther behind (v. 2.28), but unstable already has 2.32 packaged up and ready to go (see https://packages.debian.org/sid/keepass2). Being stuck on an old version of KeePass has broken its integration with my browser via the KeeFox plugin, since KeePass plugins are tied to versions and the KeeFox developers have already updated theirs to work with 2.32. So every time I start KeePass now it rejects the plugin, making KeeFox non-functional. I suppose I could try to go track down an older version of KeeFox to get a copy of the plugin that would work with 2.32, but generally speaking keeping security software up to date seems like a better approach. Is there any ETA for when Wily users will be able to get version 2.32? Or given that the upgrade to Xenial is just around the corner, is it expected that 2.32 will be available for it on or around the date of release? ** Affects: keepass2 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1571023 Title: Packaged version is out of date To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/keepass2/+bug/1571023/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
