Public bug reported:
Running Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy), when I have "Visual Effects" turned on (via
System > Preferences > Appearance), xdvi will no longer display a tex
dvi file. The xdvi window comes up fine, but the dvi file is not
displayed. I have observed this on both my laptop and desktop systems
with different graphics cards. xdvi works fine when compiz "Visual
Effects" are turned off.
